"The
Tri-State Drywall team is driven by complete customer satisfaction,
to be the leader of quality in our industry. This goal is attained
through the progressive and cooperative participation of our employees,
suppliers and clients. We are committed to be the best we can
be".
Even though
this mission statement was not derived by our employees until
1992, the underlying values have been with Tri-State Drywall since
its inception. In 1977, Jacques Paré and Maurice Guay believed
a drywall company built by honesty and hard work could not fail.
Some thirty million square feet of commercial building space later,
they had achieved success far beyond their original vision.
Maurice
Guay retired in 1994, but Tri-State never missed a beat. Michael
and Daniel Guay, Maurice's sons had begun as teenagers, working
for the company back in the early 1980's. By 1994 both were superintendents
overseeing all the field operations. Today as owners along with
Jacques, Daniel oversees the bidding and estimating from the office,
while Mike supervises all field operations.
Tri-State's
achievements have not gone unnoticed by our peers. As recently
as 2002, we received the ABC Virginia chapter Paragon Award for
Excellence, The DC Metropolitan Subcontractor Carson V. Carlisle,
Jr. Safety Award and The Liberty Mutual Group Safety Award for
Drywall Work in the Metro Area. 2003 was highlighted by our being
recognized as ABC Subcontractor of the year. In 2004 we were again
honored as the ABC Subcontractor of the year.
We look
forward to our next thirty million square feet of commercial office
building space.
